Ashley Stewart
Festival Host, Screener
Ashley is this year’s Host for ICF 2013. Ashley and Shane Stewart are staples in Idyllwild, owners of the Rustic Theatre and hugely popular Red Kettle restaurant, and terrific supporters of the film festival. Ashley has boosted her participation this year, serving as the event coordinator for the Producers/Actors/Directors Breakfasts, as well as prescreening and award nominations judge. Look for her energetic personality on stage, Jan 13th as she launches the ICF 2013 Award Ceremonies.
Christina Lee Nordella
Volunteer Coordinator, Screener
One of Idyllwild’s creative and energetic best, Chris made her on-stage debut recently in Christopher Durang’s “Beyond Therapy,” directed by local actor/director Conor O’Farrell. She is one of those people know by almost everyone in town, a result of her participation in many art-related organizations and events. This made her a perfect candidate for our Volunteer Coordinator in 2013, and now that we’ve seen her in action, it’s hard to image this how this festival would have gotten done without her generous help.
She recently published a book of poetry, “One Square Inch,” a follow up to “Broken Open,” making her a great example of the artistic spirit and diversity that is an Idyllwild resident.
Chris Singer
Lodging Concierge
Innkeeper of the Silver Pines Lodge, Chris knows every motel, lodge and rental house in town from her current and past work as an industry advocate for all Idyllwild’s lodging businesses. How else would one explain this:
www.idylodging.com? Her work this year is another example of how the festival is growing with the guidance of such competent volunteers.
Laurie Gillett
Networking Party Coordinator
Innkeeper of the Creekstone Inn, Laurie’s experience with party organization is unmatched, the beautiful lobby of Creekstone Inn being perhaps the most used location in Idyllwild for large events such as wedding receptions and group conferences.
Andie Redwine
Screener
Writer and producer of the award-winning movie, “Paradise Recovered,” a primetime featured film at ICF 2012. She created By The Glass Productions in the hopes of telling more stories that champion the strength of the human spirit while capturing the soul of middle America. She is also known for holding screenwriting workshops, mysteriously entitled “Scriptwriting with Andie Redwine.”
Andie is currently in pre-production on two narrative feature films while producing a number of commercial video projects with other independent filmmakers around the country. And she writes something every day.
Koran Dunbar
Screener
Writer, Director, Lead actor of “Greencastle,” an ICF 2012 award winning fan favorite film. Koran has always been influenced by art, music and comedy, being a comedian before an actor. He has a self-described underdog persona that has yielded an unstoppable drive and no-quit attitude, something that is strongly evident in his. What he brings to the world of films is a much needed just-do-it attitude, leading to honest and inspiring work. Still on the road with “Greencastle” (the DVD was recently released), we are looking forward to his next project.
David Vanderveer
Screener
Production and Postproduction Manager for the aforementioned “Greencastle,” David has been involved in theatrical arts from a young age, performing in over 20 stage productions and 50 show choir performances from high school on. In March 2011 he signed on as the production manager for Greencastle, to great success; we can attest to his skills in how he managed their ICF experience, charging forward with the marketing, publicity/social media, festival facilitation tasks. As a result of his success, David has joined with Koran Duncan to launch Rags 2 Riches Productions.
Zack Steinhaus
Screener
From Brooklyn, New York, transplanted in retirement to Idyllwild, Zack is another of Idyllwild’s active multi-taskers. He has worked very successfully with the film festivals before and now brings his enthusiasm and experience to ICF, working as a screener/judge and laying the groundwork for one-day and overnight senior tours into town for ICF 2014. We’re excited about this next step for the festival and his great idea!
